Plant Operations Head - Cattle Feed Manufacturing

Position Overview:

As the Head of Operations for the Cattle Feed division, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the production and operational processes. This key leadership role requires a strategic mindset, excellent organizational skills, and a deep understanding of the cattle feed industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership:

- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the entire operations team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Production Planning:

- Develop and implement comprehensive production plans to meet the demand for cattle feed products, considering factors such as market trends, seasonal variations, and inventory levels.

Quality Assurance:

- Establish and enforce strict quality control measures throughout the production process to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Process Optimization:

- Continuously evaluate and improve operational processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity.

Resource Management:

- Effectively manage human and material resources, including workforce planning, equipment utilization, and raw material procurement, to achieve production targets.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with other departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Research & Development to ensure seamless coordination and integration of operations with overall business strategies.

Safety and Compliance:

- Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, ensuring that all operational activities adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Budget Management:

- Develop and manage budgets related to operations, including production costs, capital expenditures, and maintenance expenses.

Performance Monitoring:

- Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and measure the performance of the operations team, regularly reviewing and analyzing results to identify areas for improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and the implementation of best practices to enhance operational efficiency and product quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Any Degree and Diploma in Engineering and having 15-20 years experience in Cattle feed

- Proven experience in a leadership role within the cattle feed industry, with a strong understanding of production processes and quality standards.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Demonstrated ability to drive operational excellence and implement process improvements.

- Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the cattle feed industry.
