A. Summary:
Plan, organize, direct and run successful day-to-day operations of the production facility with a single point responsibility of production output and product quality at optimum cost
B. Job description:
Coordination with Sales dept & Customers: Coordinate with Sales and customers to understand requirement, forecast and demand
Production schedules: Review production schedules of all manufacturing functions to insure on-time delivery to customers
Purchase of raw material: Ensure timely purchase of raw material to meet production demand and manage supplier relationships for smooth running supply chain
Inventory control: Ensure optimum inventory levels of raw material and finished goods through efficient planning
Workforce requirement: Analyze workforce requirements, coordinate hiring and training of all manufacturing personnel with support from HR
Operational expense: Monitor operation expenses and devise ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality
SOP & product changes: Coordinate with Engineering for new product start-of-production and existing product changes
Resources: Plan, budget and execute capital investment into machinery and infrastructure for meeting future production requirements while ensuring all assets are fully utilized
Efficiency: Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity
Employee relationship: Take employee feedback and address employees- issues/ grievances by administering redressal of the same
Appraisals: Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to all operations employees
Culture development: Create and maintain a culture of openness, merit, ownership and continuous improvement with employees
Safety: Maintain and support a superior environmental health and safety program to provide a safe workplace for all employees
Compliance: Manage relationship with legal and other external entities such as labor unions etc for all kind of compliance
Best practices: Stay up to date with latest production management practices and concepts while putting into use those suitable for the organization
Client Requirements -
Our Client is engaged in the manufacture and supply (both Inhouse & through OEM's) of Electronic Contollers and Electronic Contol Panels. So experience in EMS / SMT is mandatory along with Global Sourcing capabilities.
Ideally candidates with about 15 yrs in Production Management having worked in all aspects of Supply Chain will be preferred.
