Our client is currently seeking a highly qualified candidate to join them as a Plant Manager!"
The ideal candidate will report to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and should possess a B. Tech or M. Tech degree, an ME or BE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Plastics Engineering, or a PGD from CIPET. They must have a minimum of 15-20 years of experience, with at least 4-5 years in a similar capacity. Preferably, the candidate should come from the manufacturing sector, ideally with experience in injection moulding, blow moulding, and working with ABS and other packaging polymers, especially within the automotive, automobile, and packaging industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee plant administration, production planning, preventive maintenance scheduling, quality assurance, procurement of raw and packing materials, store management, dispatch management, and manpower planning and utilization.
- Comprehend and manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) statement.
- Oversee all statutory works related to government and other authorities to ensure compliance.
- Ensure the smooth and efficient working of the unit.
- Plan and implement short-term and long-term strategies to maximize production.
- Develop and implement cost-saving measures.
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and accomplishment of production targets.
- Manage a plant producing an output worth Rs. 400 Cr per year with 8 to 10 direct reportees and a team size of approximately 450 members.
- Make independent decisions and effectively manage a remote facility, including handling labor issues.
- Analyse processes and applications, taking adequate measures to enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Implement stringent quality control systems to enhance product quality.
- Address customer complaints at the factory level promptly and attend all audits with the Production In-Charge.
- Monitor and enhance quality standards, implementing necessary improvements.
- Oversee the preventive maintenance of machines, molds, and utilities.
- Train and motivate team members.
- Develop, implement, and maintain housekeeping systems and procedures.
- Ensure accurate daily production data and maintain monthly MIS reports.
- Oversee the management of stores, ensuring an adequate stock of spare parts used regularly.
- Plan and implement production programs and schedules.
- Oversee logistics and transporter negotiations, developing a robust network as per process requirements.
- Maintain a congenial working atmosphere within the premises.
