Plant Human Resources Head
- Plant Human Resources Head designs, plans, and implements human resources programs for a plant. Administers corporate policies relating to compensation, benefits, visa/green card processing, employee relations, training, and health and safety programs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Working with the leadership to manage the plant HR activities.
- Participating with the leadership team in project planning and execution.
- Manpower planning and budgeting to attract the right talent to fill key positions within a stipulated time frame.
- Ensuring the successful launch of the plant by liaising with all external authorities to ensure legal & statutory compliance.
- Creating the overall HR Strategy in line with the business plans and executing on all aspects of HR wrt Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Organization Design, Talent Management and Industrial Relations.
- Working as a strategic business partner with the plant leadership, evaluate the state of human resources in the plant, identify opportunities for improvement and develop & execute a strategic vision for the HR function in the plant focused on supporting the achievement of both functional and plant key performance objectives,
- Drive employee engagement to maximize safety, manufacturing, quality, and customer service goal attainment.
- Develops and aligns HR initiatives to the business strategy which includes the ability to identify, analyse, understand, and articulate business goals and objectives at the company, plant and business unit level.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory activities, OSHA / Safety, Worker's Compensation & Unemployment etc.
- Analyse, monitor, and improve diversity administration education, training, staffing, communication, affirmative action planning & development, and diversity culture building (AWA, Work / Family Programs)
- Coordinate and enforce HR policies, processes, systems, and reporting activities.
- Coach and counsel managers and supervisors in the plant regarding employee relations issues in order to enable them to address employee issues at the floor level.
- Manage consistent execution of compensation programs including merit, bonus, and promotional counselling.
Qualification And Experience :
1. MBA in HR with 10-15 years of experience in a Plant HR role in a Manufacturing set up
You have managed IR in your past roles and can smoothly handle discussions with unions
Excellent communication & presentation skills.
2. Strong ability to communicate efficiently with all levels of management, co-workers and subordinates.
3. Ability to interpret verbal and non-verbal behaviour and to develop accurate perceptions and understandings of others' feelings, needs, values and opinions.
