PLANT HR HEAD

- Develops implements, manages and administers policies and programs related to employment, employee relations, wage and salary administration, training, orientation, safety, health and benefits effectively and in accordance with company policy and governmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- To ensure that the plant has the right number and type of talent to execute plant strategy and achieve desired business results; ensures plant establishes and maintains a positive work environment and operates in support of Company's values; assists in successful implementation of global HR business processes within the plant; and ensures plant compliance with HR-related legal and regulatory guidelines.

- Establishes and maintains a presence on the plant floor to keep a read on the pulse of the organization.

- Proactively identifies and resolves employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner that protects the needs of the plant to operate in an effective and efficient manner.

- Manages and mitigates employee grievances by ensuring supervisors and leadership are creating an open forum for discussion and resolution of plant issues.

- Coaches and counsels operations and engineering leadership management in development and demonstration of leadership and management practices required to establish and maintain a positive work environment.

- Takes ownership for specific HR initiatives that support the effective operations of the organization by developing and/or delivering HR programs (e.g., attendance tracking, communications).

- Tracks and documents employment issues and requests as required for procedural and statutory purposes.

- Identifies employee value proposition issues affecting turnover and works in team to identify actions for improvement.

- Develops and implements hiring process for workmen and temporary employees.

Qualification And Experience:

1. MBA in HR 15-18 yrs with a strong factory exposure in a Manufacturing Industry.

2. IR Knowledge.

3. Labour Management.

4. Exposure/experience with ISO/TS16949 is a plus.

5. Should have considerable knowledge of management practice and policy interpretation, technical capability to independently evaluate, select and apply techniques and standards.

6. Proven track record of delivering strong results, possess strong business acumen and be able to work in a challenging environment

7. Demonstrated experience successfully managing complex employee relation matters

8. Strong working knowledge of HRIS systems and MS office

9. Must have strong written and verbal skills

10. Ability to implement change

11. Ability to prioritize work, and work in a self-directed and fast-paced environment

12. Attention to detail to ensure accurate data management

13. Advanced Excel Skills

14. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

15. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

16. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
