Plant Head - Plastic Recycling Manufacturing

Job Overview:

- The Plant Head will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production processes, quality control, health and safety adherence, and achieving operational goals.

- This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and extensive knowledge of plastic recycling processes.

JOB RESPONSOIBILITIES:

- Develop an annual budget that supports strategic initiatives and operational efficiency and set financial targets and performance metrics for the Financial Year.

- Formulate and document standard operating procedures and policies for plant operations.

- Oversee the production schedule to ensure timely and quality production delivery of products.

- Implement quality control systems to maintain product standards.

- Coordinate with supply chain management to ensure material availability and conduct regular reviews of production costs and identify areas for cost savings.

- Address production bottlenecks and implement solutions to maintain workflow.

- Enhance system and processes and productivity.

- Safety health and environmental compliance.

- Optimize plant operations to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

- Implement lean manufacturing principles to streamline processes.

- Profitability enhancement.

- Align with top management initiatives for continuous efficiency improvements.

- Engage with employees to foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

- Utilize performance metrics to track the success of improvement initiatives.

- Facilitate requirements for new and existing systems and processes.

- Evaluate existing process flows and methods and implement effectiveness measures.

- Ensuring morale, health & safety of team members through checkups, audits & mock drill.

- Resource optimization through waste reduction (Paint, Water, Power etc.

- Develop leadership skills and prepare succession pipeline.

- Competency mapping and training planning after discussion.

- Guidance in development of employee relations strategies that align with organizational goal.

- Monitor employee relations climate and take pre-emptive actions to mitigate disputes as and when required.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from top Tier 1 or Tier2 College.

- 15-20 years of experience in the plastic recycling and in managing multi-faceted problems at a plant level.

- Strong knowledge of recycling processes, equipment, and industry standards.

- Proven leadership skills with experience managing large teams.

- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

- Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

- Proficient in using production management software and data analysis tools.
