Leadership and Strategic Role:
- Be directly accountable to lead the manufacturing, utilize lean production and continual improvement techniques and formulation and adherence to departmental annual budgets.
- Providing vision, leadership and direction for manufacturing activities, ensuring execution of the jobs within cost.
- Developing production roadmaps related to on-going and future in-house
Manufacturing:
- Receive sales forecast and prepare monthly production plan in accordance to the Quality standards and within safety norms.
- Ensure that the factory has the necessary resources in terms of manpower, quality and quantity, systems, technology, information, materials and equipment to meet the business objectives.
- Plans, develops and establishes the policies and practices related to manpower, machines and materials to all production activities of the Company.
- Ensure appropriate certification standards are maintained for the machinery and technicians
- Continuous review of the Kaizen system so as an effective utilization of the same.
- Ensure material packaging & logistics
- Vendor development where necessary.
Plant & Machinery Maintenance:
- Maintenance of tools and machinery
- Timely calibration
Factory Administration:
- Ensure safety and security of factory is maintained as per standards.
- Ensure legal compliance of factory is maintained.
- Attend and manage the emergency situations at plant.
- Liaison with HR to oversee overtime.
- Managing attendance, discipline and punctuality.
Budget Forecasting:
- Work closely with Management on the Manpower and Operational budget planning
System Adherence & Development:
- Develop, implement and monitor accurate documentation processes is followed in the team.
- Will be required to keep abreast of industry developments, new technologies/machineries, new production techniques for the production team, commercial off-the-shelf equipment, and planned future developments.
Team Management:
- Effectively mentoring and monitoring the team.
- Setting goals and managing the performance of the team by conducting periodical reviews.
- Identifying the Training & Development needs of the team.
MIS (Management Information System)
- Ensure to send all the prescribed reports as per the report matrix.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Proven experience of working in Labels Plant required.
- Candidate should have in-depth technical knowledge of automated & fast production lines and Lean manufacturing.
- Candidate should have good understanding of regulatory requirements for operating plants
- Candidate should possess strong aptitude for root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues
- Candidate should be well versed in implementing Kaizen and 5S methodology.
- Candidate should possess strong leadership and managerial attributes and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
We need a candidate who is having working experience in North India.
