Job Description
Main Duties:-
Establishing key manufacturing initiatives, metrics, and goals for the team in alignment with plant and business priorities.
Participating on the plant operations leadership team to develop and execute a manufacturing strategy aligned with the business plan.
Ensure production departments have sufficient time to manufacture and deliver on time according to the local or global customer's request.
Promoting and upholding company performance standards and ideology. Ensure non value added activity is reduced in all manufacturing processes by using the principles, tools and strategies of Lean, Kaizen,and Six Sigma tools and techniques.
Monitor & review production progress against deadline targets to ensure on time delivery. Monitor & review manufacturing operations to ensure correct quality standards.
Ensure production and quality processes, industrial equipment being used and the working environments are all conducive to producing a high quality product and services.
Sourcing, negotiating and managing the purchase of all materials and services for production. Ensure incoming product is processed and managed appropriately according to company procedure.
Organizing, planning and co-ordinating all inventory management activities.
Ensure all recruitment and employment is carried out in accordance to company procedure and in compliance with current employment law.
Identify individual training needs; Implement, monitor and review training and development plans.
Ensuring that the appropriate systems and processes are in place to measure and manage staff performance and to coach and develop a high performance workforce.
Monitor, review and address personnel under performance, liaising with the Managing Director/Board of Directors and maintaining appropriate records in accordance with company procedures as required.
Maintain proactive, dynamic and effective communication with customers at all times.
Promote & Maintain awareness and compliance of H&S in accordance with best practice and legal requirement.
Control all associated operational and manufacturing costs according to the prevailing annual budget forecast.
Establishing strong partnerships with all manufacturing support functions,including Plant Production,Engineering,Planning,Quality Assurance,New Product Development,Logistic,Supply Chain,Maintenance,Regulatory,Finance,HR,Health and Safety.
Desired Candidate Profile:-
- Excellent Planning, Project management, Team-building, Coaching and Organizational skills.
- Excellent Communication and Leadership skills with 5S, Six Sigma and LEAN thinking.
- Heavy Metal Fabrication or Industrial Engineering experience preferred.
- Recent management experience, preferably in a mechanical/electrical engineering or manufacturing environment with experience of reporting to board level.
- Provide leadership for developing and directing plant initiatives for all company's products.
- Develop systems to evaluate, score, and implement manufacturing business system process improvements.
- Determine optimum manufacturing processes and raw material usage. Identify areas for waste reduction and monitor progress.
- Identify relevant training needs and opportunities. Develop, coach, mentor and motivate subordinates.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation. Conduct safety talk on the shop floor and in employees meetings
- Have a working understanding of the principles, quality management systems and tools of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement tools within a low volume, high quality manufacturing facility.
- Possess excellent personal organization and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practice methods.
- Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.

- The Desired Candidates must having plant management leadership experience in the Heavy Construction Equipment Manufacturers or Heavy Metal Fabrication or Sheet Metal Parts Manufacturers Industry experience in an MIDC regulated environment highly preferable.(- Job Location:-MIDC,Chakan).
