About Our Client

Our client is an international furniture giant which is one of the most premium brands in office furniture, offering a very diverse product portfolio. They- re looking at expanding operations in India and hence are currently looking to recruit a Plant Head, based out of their production/assembly plant in Pune.

Job Description

Reporting directly into the Director Operations - APAC, your responsibilities would be to:

- Take overall operation management responsibility for India including production management, product engineering, procurement, material planning, inventory control, and quality process;

- Develop short-term action plan to ensure the delivery of the long-term growth plan and to meet the strategic objectives of the corporation and the targeted revenue growth;

- Manage product development and improvement for the product line to ensure smooth coordination and integration with new product development and improvements;

- Ensure human capital is effectively deployed; lead and mentor the local key management team;

- Provide the strategic and tactical execution and leadership necessary to further improve production process and operation efficiency to drive profitability;

The Successful Applicant

You will be an engineer with at least 15 years of work experience, with significant and relevant experience in plant based roles, with a Furniture, Automobiles, Durables or IT Products background. Moreover you will have excellent team building and management skills, and an experience of working with international stakeholders. You will also have excellent communication and inter-personal skills so that you can act as an extension of the brand itself.
