Plant Head - Compressor Manufacturing

Job Description:

As the Plant Head of our Compressor Manufacturing Unit, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of plant operations, ensuring efficient production, maintaining product quality, and driving continuous improvement. The Plant Head will play a pivotal role in achieving company's strategic goals, fostering innovation, and maintaining company's position as an industry leader.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution:

- Develop and implement short-term and long-term plant strategies aligned with company objectives

- Set and achieve production targets, KPIs, and budgets

- Drive efficiency improvements and cost reduction initiatives

Operations Management:

- Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring smooth work- ow and optimal resource utilization

- Monitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet customer demands

- Implement lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies

Quality Control:

- Ensure all compressors meet or exceed quality standards (ISO, ASME, etc.)

- Foster a culture of quality consciousness among all employees

- Oversee quality audits and implement corrective actions promptly

Technology & Innovation:

- Stay abreast of advancements in compressor technology and manufacturing processes

- Collaborate with R&D to integrate new technologies into production

- Drive automation and Industry 4.0 initiatives

Team Leadership:

- Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team of managers and sta-

- Foster a positive work culture that encourages teamwork and innovation

- Ensure proper training and skill development for all employees

Safety & Compliance:

- Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to OSHA and other safety regulations

- Ensure compliance with environmental laws and company sustainability goals

- Lead regular safety drills and awareness programs

Supply Chain & Inventory Management:

- Collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability of raw materials

- Optimize inventory levels to balance costs and production needs

- Build strong relationships with key suppliers

Customer Relations:

- Act as the primary point of contact for major clients

- Host client visits and showcase plant capabilities

- Address customer concerns promptly and e- ectively

Financial Management:

- Manage the plant's P&L account

- Control capital expenditures and operational expenses

- Justify and secure funding for improvement projects

- Continuous Improvement:

- Spearhead Kaizen, TPM, and other improvement initiatives

- Encourage employee suggestions and implement viable ideas

- Benchmark against industry best practices
