Plant Head - Integrated Cement & Clinker - MP

Position Overview:

- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Unit Head to oversee the operations of an Integrated Cement Plant of a capacity 8MT (including Cement and Clinker).

- The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient functioning of all plant activities, from quarrying to dispatch, while maintaining alignment with organizational goals and targets. This role requires effective leadership, strategic planning, and strong coordination skills to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop plant budgets and targets in alignment with overall plant objectives and targets.

2. Ensure the availability of resources and production output according to set targets.

3. Oversee and manage all plant functions, including production, maintenance, power generation, mining, quality control, human resources, local procurement, industrial relations, finance, environmental performance, administration, and civil relations.

4. Handle exigencies effectively and escalate issues to the Head Office if they impact availability or operations.

5. Coordinate with Regional Sales Head and Customer Service and Support (CSS) Head to provide appropriate support and expertise for sales and customer-related activities.

6. Drive the rollout of unit-wide improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and performance.

7. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and cost reduction within the plant.

8. Manage interactions with government officials, labour unions, statutory authorities, railway Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), and other relevant stakeholders.

9. Lead the sharing of best practices with other plants, participating in regional executive committee (Exco) meetings and contributing to the manufacturing portal.

10. Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize inbound and outbound operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; advanced degree preferred.

- Proven experience in a leadership role within the cement industry or similar heavy industry, with a minimum of 3 years of experience as Unit Head.

- Strong understanding of plant operations, including production processes, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirements.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and implement best practices.

- Sound decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in managing diverse teams and driving performance.

- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
