Responsibilities:
- Oversee all plant operations, including warehousing, logistics, production of fasteners and machined components, and quality control.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive production plan that optimizes efficiency, meets customer demand, and adheres to budget constraints for Hot Forging, Cold Forging, CNC Machining, and sliding edge production processes.
- Lead a team of 50 members, ensuring proper training, motivation, adherence to safety protocols, and high performance.
- Implement and continuously improve quality control processes, ensuring all fasteners and machined components meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, securing timely delivery of materials at competitive prices.
- Manage all plant logistics, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing operations, inventory control, and dispatches.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, prioritizing employee safety and well-being.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures to optimize plant operations and profitability.
- Work collaboratively with other departments (e.g., Engineering, Sales) to ensure seamless integration and alignment.
- Monitor production metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Prepare and present regular reports on plant performance to the Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field) preferred.
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record of success in leading plant operations, particularly in the fastener and machined components industry.
- Strong understanding of production planning, scheduling, lean manufacturing principles, and experience with Hot Forging, Cold Forging, CNC Machining, and sliding edge production processes.
- In-depth knowledge of quality control principles and practices (Six Sigma, SPC, etc.).
- Experience in warehouse management and logistics operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of 50 members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant manufacturing software (optional, but a plus).
- A strong commitment to safety and a focus on maintaining a safe work environment.
