About our Client - Our European client represents one of the fastest growing and most respected names in consumer durables worldwide. They recently embarked on an ambitious growth plan and are setting up a 10,000 square meter state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Pune. The group has retained the services of Michael Page International to assist them in strengthening their team and is looking to hire a Plant Financial Controller for their India operations.

Job Description - Reporting into the Head of Operations and a dotted line to the global CFO, your responsibilities will include:

- Controlling and reporting of the plant business in India as per local and International GAAP

- Responsible for product costing, MIS reporting, monitoring of overheads and yield accounting

- Oversee and ensure timely and accurate accounts closing and monthly reporting

- Feasibility report on profitability, complete testing and putting controls in place

- Conduct crucial make or buy analysis for the products in India

- Commercial negotiations with the vendors and ensuring statutory compliance

The Successful Candidate - The successful candidate must be a Chartered Accountant with at least 5 years post qualification experience in a core manufacturing plant from related industries such as automotive, electrical goods, home appliances, etc. with a turnover size of at least 150Cr. Your past exposure must be from a multinational company with at least 2 years exposure in a managerial / team lead role. You must have a strong understanding of working and reporting in SAP-FICO module. The candidate must have strong communication skills, be process oriented, reliable and have a demonstrated track record of success in working in a plant environment.
