Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Reporting:

- Oversee the preparation and consolidation of financial statements for the plant, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.

Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis, including variance analysis, for management review.

- Ensure accurate cost reporting for all products and processes within the plant.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Lead the development and maintenance of annual budgets and financial forecasts for the plant, working closely with operations and management teams.

- Monitor budget performance and recommend corrective actions when needed.

Analyze financial trends and provide insights into cost control, efficiency, and profitability.

Cost Accounting & Control:

- Implement and manage cost accounting systems to track the costs of materials, labor, and overhead.

- Perform regular cost audits and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements.

- Monitor inventory levels, ensuring accurate valuation and timely reporting.

Financial Analysis & Decision Support:

- Provide financial analysis and decision support to plant leadership, including capital expenditure (CAPEX) proposals, pricing strategies, and product line profitability.

- Assist in identifying financial risks and opportunities related to manufacturing operations.

- Support the evaluation of capital projects, helping to assess returns on investment and financial viability.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

- Ensure adherence to financial policies, internal controls, and regulatory compliance for the plant.

- Monitor and enforce adherence to financial procedures and ensure appropriate safeguards are in place to prevent errors and fraud.

- Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure the timely resolution of any audit findings.

Operational Collaboration:

- Act as a key partner to the operations team, providing financial insights that drive operational improvements and cost optimization.

- Work with supply chain, production, and procurement teams to track and manage raw material costs, production costs, and waste reduction.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Supervise and mentor the plant finance team, providing training and career development opportunities.

- Foster a collaborative environment with other departments to drive financial literacy and understanding of financial results.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment, ideally in the building materials or industrial sector.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, financial modeling).

- Familiarity with cost accounting methods, inventory management, and manufacturing cost structures.

Personal Attributes:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Additional Information:

Working Conditions:

- Full-time position based at the manufacturing plant.

- Occasional travel to corporate headquarters or other locations may be required.
