Job Description - Lead the Plant EHS regulatory compliance.

Description :
- Reporting to the Regional EHS Manager, the Plant EHS Manager is responsible for providing functional and technical support to plant operations. In addition, this position plays a key role in the advancement of strategic environment, health and safety (EHS) initiatives as well as continuous improvement in safety performance and environmental compliance.\
- The role supports site performance improvement objectives, site understanding and use of related management systems, regional projects and serves as liaison with regulatory agencies in support of locations.
3. Review EHS data and trends to develop clear action plans to manage short term and long term EHS risk, including but not limited to: environmental impact assessments, job safety analysis and risk assessments, physical demand assessments and related ergonomic exposures (office, operations).
4. Design and Implement Annual EHS Plan - In collaboration with the site leadership team, create, implement, monitor and update the site EHS plan.
5. Provide technical support related to permits, authorizations, capital projects, and other EHS compliance concerns. Prepares required reports, plans and other government filings while ensuring timely and accurate submission.
6. Provide educational training and facilitate communication activities to build management and employee understanding and commitment to EHS compliance with emphasis on EHS management and statutory regulations, requirements under Organisation Safety and Environment Management systems as well as new associate orientation.
7. Monitor, Analyze and Share EHS Information - Provide necessary information and data to site managers and supervisors, Global EHS and other internal and external stakeholders, in order to support the achievement of EHS objectives and enhance Co. reputation.
8. Promote a Sustainable EHS Culture - Create and maintain an EHS culture throughout the site that inspires a proactive attitude and a firm belief that 'target zero' is achievable. Create a space where people can speak openly and are encouraged to present new ideas about EHS stewardship.
9. Provide Expertise, Guidance, Coaching and Training - Develop and implement training programs, provide coaching, expertise and guidance to managers and employees of the site.
10. Lead Continuous EHS Improvement - Lead continuous improvement in EHS using Operational Excellence principles and visible-felt leadership to achieve 'target zero' goals and to enable compliant operations and business effectiveness.
11. As fire safety responsible, assumes all responsibilities of a fire safety officer including technical oversight and support, emergency action planning and related training, inspection and maintenance of related fire systems and building conditions.
12. Lead the Site EHS Team - Identify, recruit, develop and retain qualified EHS professionals to provide EHS services to the site. Implement managerial practices to ensure the EHS team's high performance, modeling Co. values and leadership framework.
13. Site Leadership Team Member - Serve as an influential member of the site leadership team, who impacts decision making and takes an active role in promoting cross-site initiatives, team work and collaboration across site functions.
14. Member of the Global Network & Professional Community - Bring global best practices into the site and actively share site perspective, knowledge and lessons learned to contribute and support a best-in-class professional level of EHS globally.
15. Manage Relations with Regulatory Agencies, the Local Community - Develop trusted and proactive relationships with regulatory agencies, local community and external suppliers to promote compliance and social responsibility, in Co's business interest.
16. Conduct all EHS incident investigation to assure corrective measures are completed on time and assist them with identification and addressing the root cause of the incident.
2. Requires at least 15-18 years of experience, preferably with proven experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 5 years heading the EHS function at a large manufacturing organization.
3. The incumbent must have varied experience of working in organizations with diverse Safety requirements. Essential to have world-class experience in EHS Management practices and systems.
4. Technical understanding of Safety across diverse and complex businesses. Requires advanced technical knowledge in Process Safety, practical experience of performing complex risk assessments, and adequate knowledge of applicable hazard communication.
5. Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills are essential.
6. Position is action oriented, requiring the incumbent to creatively plan and execute various safety and environmental activities with limited resources.
2. Extensive knowledge of Safety & Environmental laws and regulations, local current and upcoming legislation and current best EHS practices.
3. Basic project management knowledge and experience.
