- As an Instructional Designer, you are grounded in the learner experience and passionately advocate for their needs based on your sound understanding and application of adult learning theory.
- Below are the primary qualifications/skills required to be considered for the role:
- Degree from a four-year college or university in adult learning, communications, organizational development, human resources or a similar field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in training delivery, instructional design and/or performance consulting.
- You don't just know the principles of adult learning theory, you know how, when and why to apply the appropriate tactics and have examples to prove it.
- Technology plays a big part in your training approach therefore you are more than familiar with e-learning authoring tools such as Adobe Captivate, Premier Pro, Vyond, Articulate 360 Suite, etc.
- You also bring to the table a solid understanding of additional digital learning tools and strategies.
- You are part detective as you are skilled at conducting training needs analyses, creating learning objectives and content to solve for performance gaps and align to business goals.
- Who's afraid of change? Not you! In fact, you embrace it, and move quickly to learn all its impacts and champion it forward to others.
- You possess a strong sense of urgency in driving projects to completion
- Possess outstanding communication and relationship skills and fearless in your ability to facilitate conversations with leaders and SMEs in support of building right fit learning solutions.
- Command of project management tactics, inclusive of but not limited to prioritization, negotiation, multi-tasking, etc.
