Manage Planning- based in UAE (Abu Dhabi)

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The Planning Manager is required to develop the most appropriate method and sequence of Shutdown and Turnaround, Plant Construction activities, in conjunction with the Project Manager, in order to ensure the project is completed timely, safely, and on budget.Schedules, plans and oversees the entire program of work Plans, organizes, and coordinates planning activities.

- Ensuring Planning, monitoring and cost control functions are implemented and managed according to quality and performance standards so that all activities are completed within the allocated timeframes and budget.

- Review and monitor baselines, LF plans and milestones for the project from mobilization through Close-out phases, ensure focus on cost and revenue targets at project sites; Compare resource utilization (man power, materials and equipment) with the budget.

- Ensuring that risk identification and mitigating measures are being taken at project sites; share reports on measured KPI's regarding progress, efficiency and financial health of the projects with Project Managers, Operations Managers, and BU Head.

- Assessing the project requirements and estimating the cost of turn key projects including supply of materials, manpower, testing and commissioning.

- Preparing and submitting quotation/bids based on project's specifications and client requirements.

- Attending Site visits, bid clarification meetings, report observations and client's work specifications.

- Assessing all contract technical, commercial risks and proper allocation of risks in the proposal.

- Read inquiry documents, prepare synopsis and obtain feedback from discipline In-charge for decision on bidding.

- Reviewing the detailed plan of proposals on primavera project planner.

- Evaluating and reviewing technical and commercial bids for chemical, petrochemical, oil and gas plants etc.

- Selects the most appropriate techniques and logical sequence of activities to complete project scope.

- Inputs the work breakdown structure information in means to assess an accurate forecast on time, resources and cash flow of the project

- Maintains and updates stationary & rotating equipment technical records, prepares technical reports, helps in generating data for inputs to budgets, improvement in maintenance methods/procedures, equipment replacement, etc.

- Supervises training programs for new employees in his units. Ensures following of relevant fire & safety

- Attended & knowledge to work on Shutdown maintenance, Preventive maintenance, Corrective maintenance.

- Determines appropriate logistics solution in managing resources.

- Sets up alerts for all important contractual and milestone dates

- Prepares cash flow, charts and histograms on planning projects

- Verifies critical path and interfaces between design/ engineering/ procurement / execution

- Monitors progress periodically and compares it with the baseline planning

- Updates the schedule based on inputs received from project team

- Prepares the monthly Progress reports

- Prepares the monthly Labor histograms

Accumulates collects and analyses data and information required for planning

Education

- BE/ B.Tech/ BS Mechanical Engineering

- Required 10 to 15 years- experience in the Oil & Gas industry. (Shutdown/ turnaround /maintenance, Plant Construction Onshore/ Offshore)

- Strong familiarity with Primavera, P-6 and computer literate, Monitoring Schedules, preparing Progress Curves, Monthly Reports.

- Candidate should have good Knowledge of UAE market and Clients as well.
