Job Summary:

The Senior Manager, Business Development, will be a key architect in driving PlanetSpark's growth within the edtech sector. This role demands a strategic thinker with a profound understanding of educational technology, exceptional sales management skills, and the ability to lead with inspiration and perspicacity. The successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping and executing business development strategies, fostering client relationships, and guiding our team towards achieving ambitious goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies tailored to the edtech landscape .Inspire and lead the business development team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. Serve as a thought leader within the organization, driving initiatives that align with PlanetSpark's mission and values.

Edtech Mastery:

- Navigate the nuances of the educational technology domain with finesse and adeptness.Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.Leverage your deep understanding of edtech to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.

Direct Inside Sales Management:

- Orchestrate and manage teams within the realm of direct inside sales, specifically tailored for the edtech sector. Sculpt sales strategies and set ambitious benchmarks, driving the team to surpass targets.Utilize your past successes in sales management to mentor and develop team members.

Communication Excellence:

- Exhibit exquisite command over the English language, ensuring all communications with clients and peers are clear, persuasive, and professional. Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and reports to diverse audiences.

Data Maneuvering Proficiency:

- Demonstrate expertise in data manipulation and interpretation, extracting valuable insights to inform business strategies. Make data-driven decisions that enhance sales performance and operational efficiency. Utilize analytical tools and techniques to monitor and report on key performance metrics.

Managerial Savvy:

- Foster managerial acumen within the team, nurturing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.Provide mentorship and guidance to managers, helping them develop their skills and achieve their potential.Ensure alignment of managerial efforts with the broader organizational goals and strategies.

Core Sales Proficiency:

- Embrace the ethos of salesmanship at its zenith, demonstrating a deep understanding of core sales principles. Drive business development endeavors with passion and a relentless focus on achieving results. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, with significant experience in the edtech sector.

Skills:

- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth within the edtech industry.
