Role - Director - Admissions
The Director of Admissions will lead Plaksha University's admissions operations and strategy, focusing on the application, selection, and enrolment processes. This role requires a seasoned leader to ensure transparency, integrity, and efficiency in managing applications, conducting selection processes, and onboarding students to create a high-quality and diverse cohort.

Job Description
Admissions Strategy and Leadership:
- Ensure transparency, efficiency, and integrity across the application and selection processes to yield a high-quality, diverse student body.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to meet the university's enrolment goals.
- Continually evaluate the quality and efficacy of the admissions process, incorporating improvements and innovations where necessary.
Application and Selection Process:
- Oversee the design and implementation of a robust, efficient, and transparent application and selection process.
- Manage the evaluation of applications to identify candidates aligned with the university's vision and programs.
- Ensure adherence to admissions rules, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and execute holistic evaluation frameworks emphasizing competence, diversity, and potential.
Financial Aid Strategy:
- Develop a strategic plan for financial aid, including scholarships and funding, to support underrepresented and deserving students.
- Work with the Advancement Office to identify additional financial aid sources and develop strategies for equitable deployment and distribution of scholarships.
- Identify underrepresented applicant pools and implement targeted financial aid strategies.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Work effectively in a dynamic and complex environment, collaborating with internal stakeholders such as faculty, leadership, and administrative teams to support admissions and onboarding goals.
- Partner with relevant teams to ensure seamless transitions for admitted students from enrolment to orientation and beyond.
Student Onboarding:
- Plan and execute onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth transition for new students.
- Collaborate with various university teams to design and deliver engaging orientation programs that align with the university's vision and values.
- Ensure timely communication with admitted students to address their queries and provide necessary guidance.
Data and Process Management:
- Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of the admissions process, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards in handling applicant information.
- Leverage technology to streamline admissions operations and enhance the applicant experience.
Education Qualifications and Experience
- Postgraduate degree in any field; MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- 15+ years of overall experience, with at least 5+ years in admissions, enrolment management, or related roles, preferably in a leadership capacity.
Skills
- Strong understanding of admissions regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Demonstrated success in leading transparent and efficient admissions processes.
- Proven experience in financial aid planning and strategies for diverse applicant pools.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Proficiency in admissions software and CRM platforms.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment.
