Role vis-a-vis risk

The person will support the risk management and portfolio review process, and will work closely with the portfolio risk manager and the investment manager. The candidate will develop a strong working knowledge of various investment instruments in the real estate sector

- Maintain and enhance risk monitoring spreadsheets and reports on a weekly/monthly basis.

- Develop expertise in use of internal risk tools.

- Assess impact of regulatory and other environment changes on portfolio from a risk perspective

- Understand the portfolios in detail and monitor for risk exposures outside of defined parameters including regulatory compliance that may affect the portfolio adversely

- Perform ad-hoc risk analysis using spreadsheet, database and other quantitative risk tools.

- Support Portfolio Management and research with quantitative analysis.

- As time and skill level permits, assist with other special projects on Risk.

Role vis-a-vis Operations:

The analyst will work closely with the General Manager - Operations in developing and improving the process environment for our financial services businesses. This will involve:

- Tracking and monitoring the process metrics

- Escalating of process deviations and undertaking of process audits

- Developing means for continuous process improvements

- Working on other special initiatives

Skills required:

- Qualifications: Bachelors, MBA

- 2+ years work experience in financial services preferably in real estate sector
