This role will be responsible to build and maintain a high performance sales organization to effectively achieve business objectives within the assigned countries in Africa . The role will involve significant travelling in overseas markets (about 12-15 days per month )

Key KPI :

- Delivery of sales revenue, gross margin and demand creation modules for the region within the defined cost budgets

Detailed Role :

- The individual will be responsible for the following key activities.

- Develop and implement appropriate demand generation modules

- Work with existing Distributors in target geographies or suggest new distributors in target markets.

- Gain Insight in the market and understand which products of Pidilite can gain traction in the assigned markets

- Identify, explore and leverage key products in the market

- Identify and develop proper channels to develop business

- Defining the product and deployment strategy

- Define appropriate pricing

- Based on market need; where appropriate work with marketing to develop new product or renovate existing products

- Evaluate the people capabilities and where needed plan for appropriate expansion of the organization under the Distributor. Mentor and develop the company employees in the countries as well as the distribution organization

- Develop appropriate review processes to guide the country business team and mentor their development.

- Develop appropriate training modules and execute these for Distributor sales force, Company sales force, large waterproofing contractors etc .

- Engage with the distributor to ensure that the working capital is appropriately managed.

Skill :

- Demonstrated ability to achieve sales plans in complex situations

- Understanding of Construction Chemical product portfolio and ability to understand the construction chemical markets in target countries

- Entrepreneurial mind set and ability to find solutions in a market with limited resources

- Ability to build positive working relationships, both internally and externally;

- Effective communication skills in conceptualizing and presenting information

- Business skills including negotiation and computer skills.
