PI Industries - Head - SCM Operations

We have an challenging role open for Supply Chain Operations for our CSM business based at Vadodara.

Educational Qualification:

- B.Tech/B.E. - Mechanical/ Chemical

- PG - MBA/PGDM from reputed B-School (Supply Chain/ Operations)

Relevant Experience required:

- Exposure to Chemical/Pharmaceutical industry.

- Sound knowledge of Import and Export procedures and documentation

- Expertise in Government liaison; especially, Customs, DGFT, NCB, Prohibition and SEZ

- Knowledge of ISO: 9000, ISO: 14001 and OHSAS: 18001

- Knowledge of SAP ARIBA

- Strong analytical skills

Role & Responsibilities:

The Head-Supply Chain Operations is responsible for leading and managing teams of Logistics, Site Commercial, Imports and Exports to ensure timely availability of high quality materials and consumables and other items needed by Production/R&D teams at sites. The role is also responsible for fulfilling the statutory requirements for imports and exports.

- Drive best practices implementation for warehouse and logistics management

- Develop roadmap to improve logistics framework and enter into strategic partnerships with vendors

- Spearhead cost reduction initiatives by consolidating tasks and eliminating non-value-added processes

- Liaise with Government Authorities to ensure statutory compliance related to imports and exports

- Provide support in assessing supplier/service provider quality and develop parameters for choosing the right supplier/service provider

- Site Commercial operations management

- SCM related Digital Initiatives for Process Improvement
