What is this role?
- We are looking for a Food Management Professional to join our team who would be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the organization's food operations, including procurement, production, distribution, and quality control.
- The role will involve ensuring efficient and effective food management practices to meet the needs of a large number of individuals.
What You'll Do?
1. Food Procurement :
a) Identify and establish relationships with reliable suppliers.
b) Negotiate contracts and pricing to optimize cost-efficiency.
c) Ensure the availability of high-quality ingredients and food products.
2. Menu Planning and Nutrition :
a) Collaborate with nutritionists and chefs to design menus that meet dietary requirements and preferences.
b) Ensure compliance with nutritional guidelines and regulations.
c) Monitor food trends and industry developments to introduce innovative and appealing menu options.
3. Food Production and Quality Control :
a) Oversee food preparation processes to ensure high standards of hygiene, safety, and quality.
b) Establish standardized recipes, portion control guidelines, and cooking methods.

4. Distribution and Service :
a) Develop efficient systems for food distribution and service.
b) Coordinate with facility managers or catering teams to ensure timely and smooth delivery.

5. Inventory Management :
a) Implement inventory control systems to track and manage food stock levels.
b) Optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste through effective planning and ordering.
c) Conduct regular audits to maintain accurate stock counts.
6. Team Management and Training :
a) Recruit, train, and supervise a team of kitchen staff, chefs, and food service personnel.
b) Provide leadership and guidance to ensure a cohesive and productive team environment.
c) Conduct performance evaluations and offer professional development opportunities.
7. Compliance and Safety :
a) Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and health codes.
b) Implement and monitor HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) protocols.
c) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of food industry standards and best practices.
8. Continuous Improvement :
a) Analyze operational data and feedback to identify areas for improvement.
b) Implement process enhancements and efficiency measures.
c) Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to drive innovation.

You are Someone Who Has :
1. Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, Culinary Arts, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
2. Proven experience in food management, preferably in a large-scale setting.
3. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, nutrition, and industry best practices.
4. Strong leadership and team management skills.
5. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
6. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Proficiency in food inventory management systems and related software.
8. A passion for food, creativity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional culinary experiences.
9. Should be well-versed in Malayalam Language.
