About PhonePe :


- PhonePe is Indias leading digital payments platform with over 400 million+ registered users. Using PhonePe, users can send and receive money, recharge mobile, DTH, data cards, pay at stores, make utility payments, buy gold, and make investments.


- PhonePe went live for customers in August 2016 and was the first non-banking UPI app and offered money transfer to individuals and merchants, recharges and bill payments to begin with. In 2017, PhonePe forayed into financial services with the launch of digital gold, providing users with a safe and convenient option to buy 24-karat gold securely on its platform.


- PhonePe has since launched Mutual Funds and Insurance products like tax-saving funds, liquid funds, international travel insurance, Corona Care, a dedicated insurance product for the COVID-19 pandemic among others. Overview:


- We are looking for a SME Head for the PG Business in PhonePe.


- Critical to PhonePe, PG Business enables PhonePe to charter into new territories & scale and monetize our capabilities. With growing digitization, opportunities and new customer segments, this role will offer exciting opportunities to build new ecosystems for PhonePe.


Roles & Responsibilities :


- The ideal candidate is passionate about business growth, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.


Desired Skills:


- 15+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management


- Understanding of the Indian Online SME segment


- At least 10+ years of experience in managing and leading an Business Acquisition (Sales), preferably in the SME Team


- Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced, multi-tasked, high-energy environment


- Excellent communication and presentation skills


- Collaborative working style.


- Champion of PhonePe Values.


- Must work well in a team environment as well as with their peers Relevant experience in Fintech, preferably in PG/online payments would be an advantage


- A self-starter who can work own new initiatives / horizontal charters independently


- Strong interpersonal skills & vision to lead a growing business to fruition MBA from top institutes


Role:


- Leading a team of 300+ individuals Incumbent would need to work on mobilizing team, building up sales pipeline, network with leadership teams on the merchants side, strong negotiation skills


- Incumment will need to take strong data backed decisions and pivot when required for business to succeed Identify new business opportunities, categories, create a vision for the growing business


- Interacting and pitch PhonePe products with key decision makers, C-Suite in partner organizations


- Identify emerging categories and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status Strong business acumen and product expertise


- Establish best practices and procedures for converting leads to sales
