KEY OBJECTIVES:
- Build Transportation service provider capability at lane level keeping N3Y growth objective in mind
- Look for efficient ways of improving product transportation e.g Temperature control movement for Wines, direct distribution capability to retail etc.
- Drive key Supply Chain projects like TMS, Digitalization initiatives etc
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Transportation Capability Development:
- Define standard KPI for transport operations and ensure measurement of same across locations. Drive RCA and improvement initiatives in KPI where scores are below target.
- Define standard SOP for transport operations across units incorporating safety and automation requirements for sustaining daily operations.
- Drive identification and implementation of TMS across operations (unit/bond) to optimize route, load & vehicle type selection.
- Reduce PRI dependence on market vehicles in a planned and phased manner in N3Y.
- Map lane wise supply security and take steps wherever gaps are identified
- Drive Green Logistics initiative across units/bonds
KEY INTERFACE:
INTERNAL:
1) Unit Supply Chain Team
2) Zonal Supply Chain Operations Team
EXTERNAL:
1) Transporters
2) 3PL Operators
KEY DELIVERABLES/KPI:
- Vehicle placement vs indent.
- Sustainable transporter base.
- Digitalization (TMS, Track & Trace etc.) to reduce manual dependence
JOB REQUIREMENT:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be an MBA from institute of repute and preferably with engineering background.
EXPERIENCE:
- 10-15 years of total experience in FMCG/Pharmacy or beverage enterprise of repute (However not from liquor industry back ground) with at least of 7-8 years of progressive work experience building Transportation capability.
- Adept at Transportation excellence process (TMS, Logistics Tower) implementation.
- Experience in creating (selecting location & collaborating with stakeholders for building) future ready transportation capability with technology and innovation as an important ingredient.
