Job Description:

- We are looking for an experienced professional who is passionate about building products that customers love.


- The candidate will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and lead a team of House Brand Managers to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the brand's vision and strategy.

- As the Head of House Brands, you will be responsible for the P&L of all the furniture House Brands and will have to manage all aspects of the portfolio involving brand management, strategy, omni channel, new channel expansion, seller and inventory management and defining overall customer experience.

- The role involves deep understanding of the sourcing, inventory management, pricing and category management and delivering a great customer experience.


- The Head of House Brands will work closely with Brand Managers to identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas to grow market share, improve stock ratios (Out Of Stock, OTIF's, Inventory Aging), customer experience and drive growth for the respective furniture brands.


- The role also involves working with inter departments to drive new initiatives and execute plans within the given timelines.


- Given Pepperfry's omni channel push, the candidate will need to work closely with the Studio teams for right merchandising, visibility for the house brands, training and drive sales with the help of the Studio team

Role Responsibilities:

- Lead the House Brand Team, responsible for the P&L of furniture House Brands

- Monitor, analyze, and evaluate market trends, consumer / customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities for house brands & evaluate brand performance and customer feedback to ensure that the product mix is aligned to meet changing customer / consumer needs.

- Build strong seller relationships to ensure smooth operations and adherence to quality and timelines

- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies

- Prepare buy plans based on trends, demand forecasting and inventory management to ensure product availability to meet consumer demand and reduce out of stock for products

- Monitor key metrics related to business (Sales, Margins) and supply (Out Of Stock, OTIF, DOS) and take required actions

- Explore new business and sourcing opportunities - Local and International

- Provide regular updates to the senior management on progress and plans

- Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed

- Work closely with the Studio and Channel Expansion team for demand and supply planning to achieve maximum sales growth for House Brands through alternate channels

Desired Skills and Competencies:

- Post-graduate from a reputed institute with 6+ years' experience in Product Lifecycle Management / Supply Chain / Sourcing

- Proven track record in inventory planning and category management

- Understanding and/or hands-on experience in furniture category will be an added advantage.

Associated Behaviors:

- Team player, able to communicate the organizations visions to his/her team and motivate them to deliver results

- Result oriented, strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job.

- Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- The role will need Domestic and International travel to meet suppliers & attend industry events
