- The Director of HR collaborates closely with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that foster a positive work culture, attract and retain top talent, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
At Pepper you would be responsible for:.
Strategic HR Planning:.
- Develop and execute HR strategies in alignment with the organization's overall business objectives.
- Partner with senior management to identify and prioritize key HR initiatives that support the organization's growth and success.
Talent Acquisition and Retention:.
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain high-caliber talent.
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to build a diverse candidate pool.
- Oversee the selection process, including interviewing, assessment, and hiring decisions.
- Implement retention strategies to reduce turnover and enhance employee engagement and satisfaction.
Employee Relations and Engagement:.
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee morale, productivity, and teamwork.
- Handle employee relations issues promptly and effectively, ensuring fair and consistent treatment.
- Implement employee engagement initiatives, such as employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and professional development opportunities.
Performance Management:.
- Develop and implement performance management processes and tools to assess employee performance and development needs.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on performance feedback, goal setting, and career development.
- Implement performance improvement plans when necessary and ensure adherence to performance standards.
Compliance and Risk Management:.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that reflect best practices and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate HR-related risks.
HR Systems and Analytics:.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HR information systems to streamline HR processes and ensure data accuracy.
- Utilize HR analytics and metrics to track key performance indicators and inform decision-making.
- Generate reports and insights to support data-driven HR strategies and initiatives.
Leadership and Development:.
- Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous - improvement.
- Mentor and develop HR team members, providing opportunities for growth and advancement.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on HR-related matters.
You must have:.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10 to 12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in all areas of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.
- SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
