Pearl Global Industries - Chief Operating Officer - Garment/Apparel Manufacturing

We are excited to onboard a COO [P&L and Production] for the Pearl Global Industries Ltd, Chennai Region. We are looking for a dynamic personality and a people champion for this role. The incumbent must have a BTech/NIFT/Textile Engineering from Tier I College, with hands on experience of managing multiple Units of Garment Manufacturing, with end to end value chain.

Following are brief role of Head Operations which in PGIL is a P&L handling role

- Successfully achieving the targets and drive profitability of the unit while sustaining good rapport with the Buyers.

- Streamlining the entire planning and styles allocation while monitoring all the operations and planning.

- Spearheading manufacturing operations with key focus on top-line and bottom-line profitability, ensuring smooth functioning of overall operations of large manufacturing unit.

- Dealing with buyer/ account, while managing production /capacity and planning of the 3 factories in Chennai.

- Ensuring follow up on order booking's & monitoring budgets and enhancing operational efficiency.

- Directing all the departments such as Merchandising, Production, Finishing, Packing and Shipping.

- Leading Department Head and reporting to Management while working on the up gradations and efficiencies of each unit and department.

- Partnering with Design team to gain an understanding of the desired product aesthetic and working with designers to ensure clear, defined product that enable successful product execution.

- Leading Factory operations with the manpower of 1800 in numbers, with 1200 machines in house .

- Spearheading the development & implementation of key procurement strategies for plant & machinery and procurement of resources, tools and manpower for new project.
