About Payso

Payso Fintech, a start-up company focused on simplified payments solutions promoted by ex- bankers with cumulative experience of 50+ years in managerial capacity. Working experience in specialized areas such as Digital Payment Solutions, Physical Payments, eCommerce Acquiring business, Digital Wallet Solutions, Electronic Banking products apart from Cash Management and Transaction Banking products.

Payso Fintech is fully aligned to the furtherance of stated policy objectives of RBI and the Ministry of Finance to lead the country towards a cashless, electronic, transparent, compliant and inclusive low-cost financial system.

We are building payment solution for B2B and B2C space with a focus on Shared on demand economy, eCommerce and retail point of sale business. We understand there is a lot of simplification that needs to be brought in digital payments for its true adoption by both buyers and sellers.

We are ready with our platform and will be going live by April- 17 and hence we are looking for aggressive interns with the keenness to have practical and on ground learning experience in working with payments fintech co.

Vision

Simplify payments: Across modes/Across Issuers/Across channels

Roles and responsibilities :

- Engage Banks/wallet players/partners for business development with - Sell To-, - Sell Through-, - Sell With- approach. Repeat businesses and maintain relationships.

- Develop Marketing and promotional support with Banks/wallet players/partners to drive customer/merchant acquisition and transaction for Payso

- Be responsible for Profit and Loss for the above mentioned vertical

- Chart clear revenue, sales, delivery, collection and customer satisfaction strategies and targets for Payments Business

- Make revenue projections for the FY and ensure processes and efforts are in place for achieving them

Strategic Role :

- Develop business strategies and roadmaps to ensure the long-term viability of Payments Business and sustainability of revenue stream

- Proactively look for potential opportunities to position Payso.

- Sustain unique selling proposition and brand equity

- Ensure that a succession plan is in place

Business Management & Development :

- Be accountable for the costs and revenue generated by the Payso business through Banking, wallet, Aggregation Channel and merchant partners

- Make prospecting a part of the regular routine ensuring that new prospects are added to the pipeline on a consistent basis

- Meet and exceed set business targets while adhering to Payso's rules of engagement

- Continuously follow-up on leads generated as well as existing clients

- Research, analyze and monitor financial, technological and demographic factors so that market opportunities may be capitalized on and the effects of competitive activity may be minimized

Proposal Management and Forecasting :

- Work out business cases (projections of income) together with the product management teams

- Manage bid/proposal development for large turnkey projects

- Collate and submit/respond to RFPs and all incoming Banks, Wallet inquiries on time

- Forecast on a regular basis for weekly reviews

- Interact with company Business, Finance & Legal teams for effort and risk assessment and build pricing for these bids

Account Management :

- Achieve personal sales targets and grow revenue and profit in line with agreed targets w.r.to billing and collections

- Coordinate with internal teams to accomplish client objectives and ensure processing system performance standards are met and that the client's perspective is represented within the organization

- Proactively manage key partner relationships to strengthen overall solution capabilities and drive greater client value

Delivery Management :

- Coordinate with internal teams to accomplish delivery objectives with respect to cost, quality, time and customer satisfaction

- Ensure commitments/change of priorities are communicated and delivered

- Conduct periodic meetings with various heads to set task priorities and ensure that priorities are clear and coordination is good

- Ensure customer satisfaction for all the offerings including delivery commitments and compliance to TATs

- Review, continually improve and implement the sales delivery process, including effective documentation of the process and ownership

Market Intelligence :

- Analyze the existing market and bring prospective new markets under the purview of the company

- Remain up-to-date on information on vendor, industry, technology, pricing, demand and vital business metrics

- Stay abreast of industry trends in PoS, PG, Mobile Solutions, and technology

- Be responsible for contributing quality information on win loss analysis of large orders & account information

- Gather, maintain and develop knowledge on current service line capabilities, products, and offerings, as well as, supporting business models and pricing

Relationship Management :

- Anticipate Customer/Banks/wallets/partners evolution, i.e., to receive, discuss and anticipate new requirements from/with customers/Banks/wallets/partners and propose - lowest effort- solutions or workarounds then feedback directly to engineering, project, product and program managers

- Advocate for client/Banks/wallets/partners needs in solution positioning and troubleshooting solution delivery issues

- Ensure customer delight by ensuring that customer requirements and escalations are handled on time

Skills and qualifications :

- Engineer and MBA from tier 1 or tier 2 colleges

- 3+ years overall experience with recent 2+ years of experience in managing Payment consultative customer acquisition team or from Acquiring banks

- The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, innovative and an expert in identification of business risks and their timely mitigation

- Should have demonstrated setting up of processes and evolving them based on actual performance.

- Should have demonstrated usage of sales tools and data for carrying out fine and coarse changes to plans.

- Results-oriented with a sense of urgency and passion for success

- Strong business planning, profit and loss planning and organizational skills

- Ability to lead the team by example and inspire the team to do better

- Sales stints in financial services industry would be an added advantage

- Have excellent communication, time management, listening, presentation and writing skills

- Should be open to rolling up his sleeves and going out for field visits with the team and do cold calls to grab more opportunities

Personality:

The ideal person for this role would be someone who loves the challenge of an entrepreneurial environment and is able to deal with complexity and rapid change. Needless to mention, the person would be self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook and impeccable integrity. He/She would have a track record of delivering results consistently in uncertain environments. Excellent communication skills with an ability to manage crucial conversations with very senior external stakeholders. Experience in managing successful scaling up of a business would be useful.
