Duties:
This position requires an experienced payroll and HR operations professional with strong technical and business process skills, and the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.

Key duties includes:

- Providing oversight to payroll and benefits administration activities, to include coordinating related activities with Finance, Legal, etc., as needed

- Reviewing, advising and escalation of statutory process and compliance issues for payroll and HR operations activities

- Providing oversight to all payroll and employment tax audit activities, including maintaining a working relationship with local revenue and governmental agencies

- Ensure payroll taxes such as profession tax, withholding taxes and provident contribution are made on time and the related statutory filings are file within the due dates

Qualifications
- 5 – 8 yrs experience in a payroll/HR operations position in India with a strong understanding of local regulations and tax compliance, working with outsourced providers and software vendors

- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Capacity to work in a dynamic business environment

- Strong self-initiative and analytical skills with results orientation

- Ability to deliver high quality work and to work under pressure with attention to detail

- IT proficiency in MS Office

- Proven record in ensuring issue escalation and resolution.

- Consistently manage all areas of risk across the payroll function

- Proven proactive approach in dealing with statutory changes

- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work in a dynamic business environment

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- High attention to detail with demonstrated project management and process improvement skills

- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to speak and write in English

- Team player with a strong customer focus

- Working knowledge of HRIS and payroll systems required, with PeopleSoft experience a plus
