Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Partner to lead and significantly expand our Corporate Finance & Advisory Services (CFAS) team in Kolkata.

This is a prestigious opportunity for a seasoned leader to shape the direction of our M&A Tax and Lead Advisory practice, drive substantial business growth, and build enduring client relationships.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for setting the strategic vision and ensuring the delivery of exceptional client service.

Experience:

10+ years of significant and progressive experience in Corporate Finance & Advisory Services, with a demonstrable track record of leading complex M&A transactions and building successful client relationships.

Role & Responsibilities:

The Partner will be responsible for the following key areas:

Strategic Leadership & Vision:

- Develop and execute the strategic vision for the CFAS team in Kolkata, aligning with the firm's overall objectives.

- Identify and capitalize on market opportunities to drive significant growth in the M&A Tax and Lead Advisory space.

- Build and maintain a strong brand presence for the CFAS practice in the region.

Client Relationship Management & Business Development:

- Cultivate and nurture relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers.

- Lead high-level client engagements, providing strategic advice and ensuring exceptional service delivery.

- Drive significant business development initiatives, securing new mandates and expanding the client portfolio.

- Represent the firm at industry events and build a strong professional network.

Transaction Leadership & Execution:

- Oversee and provide strategic direction on complex M&A transactions, ensuring successful outcomes for clients.

- Provide expert guidance on transaction structuring, corporate restructuring, and regulatory approvals.

- Ensure the team delivers high-quality work and adheres to professional standards.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead, mentor, and inspire the CFAS team in Kolkata, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

- Attract, develop, and retain top talent within the team.

- Provide strategic guidance and support to team members on complex projects.

Risk Management & Compliance:

- Ensure the team operates within the firm's risk management framework and adheres to all relevant regulatory requirements.

- Maintain a strong understanding of current regulations and industry best practices.

Financial Performance & Accountability:

- Be accountable for the financial performance of the CFAS team in Kolkata, including revenue generation and profitability.

- Contribute to the firm's overall financial goals and strategic initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- Qualification: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.

- Experience: 10+ years of significant and progressive experience in Corporate Finance & Advisory Services, with a strong focus on M&A Tax and Lead Advisory.

Leadership & Strategic Acumen:

- Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, setting strategic direction and driving results.

- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

- Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of market dynamics.

Business Development Expertise:

- A proven track record of successful business development, including building strong client relationships and securing new mandates.

- Established network of contacts within the business community.

Technical Mastery:

Deep and comprehensive understanding of M&A tax principles, corporate restructuring, regulatory requirements (SEBI, Stock Exchange, NCLT), IBC, Companies Act, and FEMA.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Ability to build rapport and influence at all levels.

Ideally, possess a strong professional reputation and recognition within the industry
