Job Description

As the Production Supervisor / Deputy Production Manager you will report directly to the Production Manager to deliver the production plan through strong planning, organizing & people management skills. You will lead the department Manufacturing Team to deliver production plans and service levels within quality, safety and cost parameters.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver all production orders on time and within specification and budget.

- Ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored and targets achieved

- Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning, sourcing and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule within all relevant quality specifications.

- Effective communication for team briefings, handovers and reporting.

- Ensure safe working practices are maintained and 'Standard Operations' adhered to.

- Ensure that non-conformance is challenged and counter-measures are agreed and implemented.

- Lead and motivate the team to create a high performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced.

- Through the utilization of lean manufacturing techniques, strive to exceed the Company targets in productivity, efficiency and quality on a continuous basis.

- Manage the implementation of engineering changes, production trials, recipe change and pilot build.

- Report and act upon plant or machinery breakdowns to maintenance technicians.

- Promote TPM procedures to further improve the availability of the line.

- Contribute in the improvement of working procedures by constantly looking for solutions to ensure the best productivity results of her/his machinery group reduce waste and ensuring compliance with procedures, operating instructions and work instructions.

- Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to support dispatch time windows.

- Lead follow up to customer concerns. Identify and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures. Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues.

- Ensure all external and internal auditory standards and improvement requirements are met inclusive of the Jordan FDA, BRCGS and ISO22000.Ensuring that the maximum performance is obtained from your team, plant and equipment.

- Ensure all employees understand the importance of and work to the highest standards in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality at all times.

- Ensure all employees comply with all policies and procedures in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality at all times.

- Maximize and constantly improve manufacturing performance that meets company standards.

- Implement Production review processes that maximize OEE & through-puts.

- Responsibility for deploying labor resources effectively.

- Ability to multitask and work on more than one downstream lines.

Qualifications -

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

- Proficient in Excel 1+ year supervisory experience Act independently.
