- Operations Management: The Data Center Head is responsible for managing the daily operations of the data center facility, including server and network operations, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting. Ensuring Uptime of the hosted Infrastructure both on Cloud Environment as well as On-Premises Infrastructure.
- Strategic Planning/Capacity Planning: The Data Center Head must develop a long-term strategic plan for the data center facility, including capacity planning, disaster recovery, business continuity, and security measures. He is responsible for preparing regular reports and analyses and sharing findings with senior management.
- Budget Management: The Data Center Head must manage the budget for the data center facility, including forecasting expenses, cost-saving measures, and capital or Opex expenditure.
- Security Management: The Data Center Head must ensure that the data center facility is secure, including physical security, network security, and cybersecurity measures.
- Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity: The Data Center Head must develop and maintain a disaster recovery and business continuity plan to ensure that critical business functions can continue in the event of an outage.
- Vendor Management: The Data Center Head is responsible for managing relationships with vendors, including negotiating contracts, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with SLAs.
- Compliance Management: The Data Center Head must ensure compliance with all the regulatory requirements for Outsourcing, especially in the Cloud Environment
