Job Description - Category Head-GVT Sales


We are looking for a Category Head to manage our GVT category from our own manufacturing units, which we cater to Pan India markets. The key responsibilities of a Category Head include developing and executing strategies to increase sales, managing budgets, developing and maintaining relationships with dealers, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the category.


Candidate must have extensive experience in understanding consumer needs and the retail environment. They must have a commercial mindset and full comprehension of sales principles.


The goal is to increase sales and profitability of business to drive sustainable growth.


Responsibilities:


- Handle GVT category volume sales targets.


- Increase distribution channel for GVT category for MoM CP billing.


- Manage accurate category forecasts for product demand to ensure the manufacturing capacity utilization.


- Category discount and profitability management


- New Product Development - Targeted NPDs for the year with Volume Contribution and Margins


- Analyse data or insights to determine competitor offerings, industry trends and customer preferences.


- Collaborate with the Zonal Sales Teams to achieve the above goals & can guide the Sales Team.


- Managing the dealers and distributors network & strengthen Key Channel Partnerships teaming up with the Zonal Heads and Branch Heads to expand product category.


- Collaboration with cross-functional teams: Working closely with various departments such as marketing, Manufacturing operations, and supply chain to align strategies, communicate plans, and ensure effective execution.


- Continuously monitoring key performance indicators such as sales, margins, and market share to assess the category's performance and identify opportunities for improvement.


Required Skills


- Proven experience as a sales leader in the Tile Industry (Must)


- Solid knowledge of category management and sales principles


- Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods


- Proficient in MS Office


- An analytical mind with a strategic ability


- Excellent communication and people influencing skills.

Level : Dy. General Manager/ General Manager


Location : Delhi (Head Office)


Experience : 15-20 years in Sales. Must have worked with leading brands in Tile industry.


Qualification : MBA/PGDM


Reporting to : Chief Sales Officer


Age preference : Ideally Below 45 Years
