Job Description

Organization overview:

- Oracle Global Financial Information Center (GFIC) is part of the Global Finance Organization of Oracle Corporation and is located in Bangalore. Global Business Finance (GBF) is the organization that provides Oracle Business Leads the financial planning and reporting support. GFIC GBF is the extended business finance organization where all the geographies and businesses of Oracle Corporation are supported centrally. This organization is also called the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) center.

- The GBF Team is responsible for providing the Business Finance support to various Business groups of Oracle Corporation.

- Each of Oracle Business group is headed by a Business leader and Partnered by a Finance Lead. The Regional / Business Finance Team are organized as In-country finance team and also Global GBF Centre (GFIC GBF) based out of Bangalore.

- The Position offered is for Oracle Corporation Global Business Finance Team (GBF). The Role will be based out of GFIC GBF Team in Bangalore.

- The GFIC-GBF Team provides the business finance support to all the Lines of Businesses of Oracle Corporation globally. The Selected Candidate will be assigned for supporting a Particular Line of Business for a defined Geography. The Person will be working closely with his / her VP Finance / Finance Directors based in the respective country /geography.

Roles & Responsibilities (indicative - Including but not limited to)

Reporting and Analysis:

- To partner with finance / business management teams, identify and track appropriate performance measures, key performance indicators and associated drivers.

- Be proactive in reviewing financial information, identifying exception / inconsistencies, initiate action and follow-up for logical closure.

- Develop clear understanding of key business drivers, analyze key financial metrics, provide value add analysis, support to sales / finance management.

Forecasting :

- Owning the preparation and publishing of weekly Forecast / Pipeline reports to Sales Management.

- Participate in Revenue Forecast Calls and provide details / explanations highlighting risk / buffer in the forecast, supported by appropriate justification / analysis.

- Ownership of Expenses forecast for the business group – by using Trend analysis / KPI reviews.

- Ownership of Forecast / Pipeline Submission for Divisional / Corporate Consolidation.

Close Ownership:

- Provide Daily updates / Flash to Finance and Sales Management on the Close Progress.

- Take lead in Revenue Close process – Daily deal tracking, interacting with Upstream and Downstream process team for Query resolution.

- Identify and Pass necessary JE / Adjustment entries in the system to support accurate management reporting.

- Participate in monthly Close Calls with the Controllers Organization and Review of LoB P&L. Including review accruals & Releases.

Business Analysis:

- Prepare financial information and analysis for Business Reviews with key highlights.

- Handle complex adhoc request in a short turnaround time and supplement such request with appropriate analysis and comments to support decision making.

- Support Finance / Business leader in simulation of Revenue Projections and corresponding expenses working including working out Margin protection / Improvement plans.

Budgeting:

- Budget Modeling for Revenue, Expenses & Headcount (including establishing KPI’s / Run rates)

- Participate in budget calls / discussion and support Scenario building / Simulation modeling.

- Preparation of Budget Pack / Presentation with appropriate budget comments to support Budget Reviews.

- Ownership of Budget Submission for Divisional / Corporate Consolidation.

- Compensation Planning Support:

- Support quota setting process by providing analysis/intelligence as required.

- Support the Complan Issuance / Submission Process including clarification of any queries if any?

- Tracking of sales performance against set targets and provide periodical updates to Business.

Others:

- Maintenance of Reporting Systems including hierarchies and segments

- Lead / Participate / Drive Standardization & Automation Projects

- Driving process efficiency and Consistency

Desired Skills & Experience

- The Candidate should be holding a Professional degree (CA / CPA / CWA / CIMA / MBA Finance from reputed institute)

- Should have 7 to 10 years of Relevant Experience.

- Candidate with Relevant Industry Experience / handled Business Facing Roles will be an added advantage.

- The Candidate should demonstrate strong Communication / Presentation Skills

- Ability to work with peers and counterparts in a global / multi location setup.

- Expertise in Office Tools – MS Excel, Power Point Skills.

- Exposure to ERP Environment including System based reporting - BI Reporting, Hyperion / Essbase etc.

- The candidate should be proactive, self starter, strong Team Player - Role would require interaction with Cross functional teams (Globally).
