Duration - Multi-Year Contract
Rate - Upto $100 Per Hour on 1099
Location - Silver Spring, MD
- 20% travel may be required, Work can be performed Remotely

Education
- BE in Computer Science/ Engineering, or equivalent work experience in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) 11g Development / Administration -
Technical/Functional Skills
- Oracle OBIEE Enterprise Edition (11g preferred) - Languages : SQL, PL/SQL, Java, scripting languages - Databases : Oracle (11g preferred), SQL Server - OS : Solar, Linux, Red Hat Linux - Other tools : Web-logic, Essbase, OBI Publisher - Additional Skills:
- Oracle Enterprise Manager, LDAP / MS Active Directory, Solaris, Linux, Unix Scripting, Oracle web tier, Fusion Middle Ware - 5-6 years' experience as an OBI administrator in large implementations (2500 users +) - Excellent knowledge of the three tier OBI architecture -
- Very thorough with the OBI server architecture and ability to suggest hardware parameters and optimum setup of the OBI infrastructure servers/Server components -
- Proven experience to fine tune the application server parameters depending on the changing capacity/utilization of the various OBI application servers - Excellent knowledge of Migration of OBI repository & deployment of the OBI application and automation of migration processes -
- Developed processes /templates to maintain high level of repository and non-repository code migration standards -
- Unix Administration
- Experience in troubleshooting and being accountable to application end users -
- Experience with OBI Configuration, knowledge of the different OBI Objects, and SQL is a plus - Worked on setting up of Email response, HTTPS, SSO - LDAP -
- Good documentation skills and interest in automating the monitoring processes using different tools -
- Successful candidates should have a flair for debugging the server logs, identifying the issues seen in the logs using the various tools (SARM etc.,) and provide supporting hand to the development teams on a day today basis

- Performance Monitoring, Management and Proactive Improvement -
- Manage Dev-Test-Prod Migration Process, Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution -
- Database Performance Monitoring, Management and Proactive Improvement -
- Capacity Planning
- Architecture Growth Strategy and Implementation - Security Management - Proactively maintains computing environment by identifying OBI system requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring system performance; maintaining OBI hardware and software components -
- Ensure the system is highly available and look for ways to optimize the server CPU/Memory utilization -
- Support various OBI environments including production to support multiple OBI implementations and related applications -
- Work on strategic projects with business partners and systems groups providing technical services on a wide range of technologies - Lead infrastructure build activities as appropriate - Maintain the current response and availability service levels with different business units - Monitor and resolve incidents associated to this product suite, work with OBI support and the development teams when necessary - Work with the team in resolving production and help the development team in code migration - Coordinate support activities with other technology and business line partners
Generic Managerial Skills
- Collaborate with internal and external partners and team members to successfully deploy OBI Solutions -
- Lead architecture and design of the OBIEE Solution Administration components -
- Participate as Technical Lead and/or Systems Analyst on OBIEE projects to be delivered on time, within budget and with good quality - Proactively drive day-to-day support and maintenance activities for the OBIEE platform - Manage phases of OBIEE related projects as needed - Work directly with clients to understand current/future BI requirements, and assist with designing solutions using the OBIEE platform -
- Partner with external support and DBA resources and Network resources for platform and project needs (Need a OBIEE developer not a report writer.)
Project Overview
- HR analytics solution that provided users easy graphic rich tools for analyzing employee profiles and personnel/payroll transactions -
- The backend data warehouse built on Oracle 11g database - The data warehouse sources data from Mainframe Personnel and Payroll system - Data is loaded daily for personnel actions processed and bi-weekly for Pay actions processed using Oracle data integrator ELT tool.
