Responsibilities:
- Oversee employee paperwork, benefits maintenance, leave tracking, management reports, and workers' compensation claims.
- Manage accident investigations, communicate work restrictions, and coordinate with claim adjusters for settlements.
- Create termination packages and ensure all termination paperwork complies with requirements.
- Assist in performance management, salary planning, and HR-related projects.
- Develop and revise labour policies, handle grievance procedures, and manage dispute resolutions.
- Ensure HR staff is knowledgeable about union contract compliance and advise management on contract negotiations.
- Head monthly labour management meetings and prepare documentation for labour relations assignments.
Requirements:
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years in HR, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Supervisory experience (1-3 years) is an added advantage.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Labour Relations, Business Management, or Human Resources.
- A Master's degree in HR Management or Industrial/Labour Relations is preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
