Operations Manager

Job profile:

- Candidate should have been working as a Operations Manager / Operations Leader with good experience on support engagements and related processes.

- Should have strong logical and persuasive skills in communication with senior management and customers

- Candidate should have had experience in working with global clientele and multi-cultural environments.

- Should be committed to delivering on the commitments to the customer and external teams.

- Candidate should be a strong motivator and should drive continuous improvements within the team.

- Will to do what it takes to deliver.

Responsibilities:

- Take the ownership of all the operational aspects of the support organization from a delivery perspective.

- Take ownership of all the deliverables to the Customers (both internal and external ) from the support organization

- Deliver on the committed SLA’s to the internal and external customers

- Responsible for the complete reporting for status and metrics .

- Analyze the metrics and work on the improvement exercises along with the team.

- Drive process compliance and improvements within the teams

- Responsible for people management and motivation

- Responsible for all planning, scheduling , monitoring and control within the team.

- Participate and provide inputs to the Governance teams within the organization

- Responsible for all the process documentation and tools implementation within the team.

- Ownership on the Customer communications.

- Contribute to organization initiatives for process improvements.

- Track and report on metrics related to the support engagements

Skill set Preferred :

Programming languages : Java , JavaScript, HTML, CSS

J2EE based web technologies : Servlets, JSP, XML, Web Services

Database : DB Concepts / SQL Server or Oracle

Application servers : Tomcat or JBoss , Websphere, Weblogic

Tools skills

Configuration Management tools : SVN (Others)

Project Management : Digite ( Others )

IDE : Eclipse

Bug Tracking tools: Bugzilla, Quality Center etc..

SLA based reporting tools: Any

Desired profile:

- 8+ yrs of work exp required

- Engineering or Technical degrees preferred (BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech/M.Sc/MCA)

- Preferred would be 1 month’s notice at the current organization

- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

- Experience in process methodologies like ITIL V
