Role Overview
As Director - HR, you will lead the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition (TA) function for Oportuns India team. This is a senior leadership position responsible for driving HR strategy, organizational development, and fostering a high-performance culture aligned with Oportuns global vision.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement India-specific HR strategies aligned with global goals. Drive workforce planning, employee engagement, and HR initiatives.
- Talent Management: Lead succession planning, performance management, leadership development, and talent retention strategies.
- Organizational Development: Improve team structures, roles, and organizational effectiveness through data-driven insights.
- Leadership Coaching: Coach senior leaders on team building, conflict resolution, and performance improvement.
- Employee Engagement & Culture: Drive engagement programs to enhance morale, collaboration, and cultural alignment.
- Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with the global TA team to execute strategic hiring plans and manage end-to-end recruitment for key roles.
- HR Operations: Manage performance reviews, compensation planning, compliance, and benefits administration; ensure localized application of global practices.
- Change Management: Support business transformations and lead HR change initiatives.
- Metrics & Reporting: Track HR effectiveness via KPIs such as attrition, TA effectiveness, engagement scores, and development outcomes.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters preferred)
- 9+ years in HR with 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing HR & TA functions
- Proven experience working with global organizations (preferably US-based)
- Strong in talent management, performance and succession planning, and leadership coaching
- Experience with Workday (HRIS) and Greenhouse (ATS) is mandatory

- Experience in fast-paced, globally dispersed organizations
- Ability to drive people strategies aligned with global business objectives
- Demonstrated leadership in organization-wide transformation initiatives
