Operations Head - Machinery Manufacturing Firm

The manufacturing client of VNR Advisory is a leading manufacturer of world-class automation systems. Started in the 80s, and annual revenue around Rs.500 cr the group has become one of the largest covering almost 8000 across 60 countries. The group is looking at hiring an experienced professional to lead the company's operations, improve efficiency and drive growth.

The key responsibilities will include:

Production:

- Achieve production targets and ensure on-time delivery across all branch offices

- Manage the team of engineers, production supervisors, planners and the blue-collared employees

- Improve productivity through effective planning and proper execution

- Resolve customer issues in the shortest time possible

Procurement:

- Ensure optimised procurement process

- Maintain stock and control it by establishing proper SOPs

Manufacturing Excellence:

- Improve existing quality standards to the highest level so that entire machines can be exported back to our European Partner.

- Build a culture of excellence by implementing right processes

Leadership:

- Develop systems, implement processes and inspire teams to perform

- Work with the Board to finalize plans for short and long-term goals

- Provide inspired leadership & create inspiring leaders in the group

The COO will be a member of the leadership team and to be successful in the role, the incumbent must have the following:

- Graduate degree in Engineering from a reputed institution

- Deep understanding of the machinery manufacturing space

- At least 15 years of experience in manufacturing with last 5 in a leadership role
