Job Description - Head of Integrated Supply Chain for a Heavy Engineering Product company in Pune

Client Details

Our client is a leading Heavy Engineering product manufacturer MNC and has a site worth 1400 crores with approximately 400+people in Pune, India. They are a leading brand in their product segment and the nature of manufacturing operations is fabrication, welding, machining and assembly. They are looking for an Operations Head to manage the entire supply chain.

Description

Reporting into the India Head, you will be responsible for :

- Developing a sustainable Safety & Quality Culture (ensuring a zero accident & quality driven mindset in employees)

- Driving financial performance (tactical tasks will include budget preparation, considering business opportunities & supporting sales opportunities)

- Driving strategic development in line with Group Strategy (by collaborating in the design of manufacturing footprint & optimising manufacturing depth)

- Overseeing the implementation of key strategic projects and programmes

- Providing vision, guidance and direction for the management team (specific tactical activities include leading by example, improving capability & robust communication plan across the plant, managing key stakeholders)

- Ensuring customer satisfaction and 'On Time Delivery' from the plants for all components (by defining product portfolio, lead time, driving timely response to claims and identifying ways to improve customer service)

- Acting as a role model for the organization's Values and Leadership

- Driving a strong compliance culture (by ensuring compliance with organisational norms, creating a strong local link, developing contingency strategy for business interruption)

Profile

Ideally you are an Engineer and MBA with atleast 18 years of manufacturing experience in the Heavy Engineering/Auto industry and atleast 5 years in managing the entire plant operations. You should have understanding of sheet metal operations which include fabrication, welding, stamping , machining and assembly. You should have proficiency in Lean culture, Operation excellence, Operational finance and also basics knowledge of SAP (SD;MM, FI, WM). You should demonstrate experience in setting vision and objectives, creating strategies, forecasting, and budgeting. You should have great Analytical, Presentation and Communication skills. You should have excellent track record in your earlier professional stint and should be ready for the next challenging assignment
