Operations Analyst - Hyperlocal Logistics Tech Startup

The company's services are being used by various eCommerce companies, restaurants, and retail stores, as well as individuals through their convenient app. It has raised more than $5M in funding.

Position Summary

The Operations Analyst will play a critical role in optimizing operational performance and driving efficiency across various business functions. The ideal candidate will be extremely proficient in financial modeling, data analysis, and data reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to turn complex data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling:

- Develop and maintain robust financial models to support strategic decision-making.

- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis to forecast financial outcomes.

- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Data Analysis:

- Collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.

- Utilize statistical methods and data analytics tools to provide insights into operational performance.

- Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.

Data Reporting:

- Create and distribute regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to management and other stakeholders.

- Design and maintain dashboards and visualizations to communicate complex data in an easily understandable format.

- Ensure data accuracy and consistency in all reports and presentations.

Operational Improvement:

- Identify areas for process improvement and work with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.

- Monitor the effectiveness of operational changes and report on outcomes.

- Support project management activities related to operational initiatives.

Collaboration and Communication:

- Work closely with various departments, including finance, IT, marketing, and sales, to gather necessary data and insights.

- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior management clearly and concisely.

- Provide training and support to team members on data analysis tools and techniques.

Qualifications

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.

- Advanced degree (MBA, MS) preferred.

Experience:

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in operations analysis, financial modeling, data analysis, or a related field.

- Proven experience with financial modeling and advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software.

Skills:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, R, Python, or similar.

- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

- High attention to detail and accuracy.
