JOB TITLE: Operational Risk Manager, Operations
Reports:Head of Risk Management and Compliance.

Essence of the job/ job purpose:
Responsible for operational risk management within all the lines of businesses in the Operations area (off-shore back-office operations).
Principal accountabilities:
- Responsible for effectively managing operational risk management and compliance (RMC) activities in the Operations area (off-shore back-office operations) partnering with the lines of business (LoB) teams.
- Risk assessment and reporting is an important aspect of the overall responsibilities and proficiency in this area to meet the needs of various stakeholders is an essential requirement.
- Manage risk relationship with all the new lines of business (LoB) potentially or actually commencing business operations; working closely with the Transitions team.
- Understanding of transition framework and the nuances of risk management during transition of processes is an important requirement.
- Partner, support and liaise closely with the Risk Program Support team to implement all key operational risk components in the Operations area (off-shore back-office operations). The operational risk components include Information Security, Business Continuity, Records Management, Vendor Management, Regulatory Compliance and Control Environment Review.
- Partner and work closely with the Risk Program Support team and ensure key business requirements per the LoB managers are translated into seamless delivery by the RMC team.
- Proactively and continuously promote engagement of all team members to integrate the risk programs into daily activities/ operations.
- Integrate and ensure all new RMC initiatives are rolled-out and required awareness is created across the LoB team members.
- Plan and conduct periodic risk awareness sessions by engaging risk program support team for all levels of management and the team members and vendor personnel at off-shore vendor locations.
- Develop and implement an effective change management process for any changes in the standard operating environment. This would involve identifying the risks associated with the change, conducting risk assessment and putting in place a risk mitigation plan working with the stakeholders.
- Implement and perform risk assessment, periodic monitoring and reporting. Understanding nuances of risk reporting is an important requirement.
- Engage appropriate stakeholders in the decision-making process for any site(s) specific needs or requirements
