Job Description:
Operational risk management and monitoring:
- Work alongside the Senior Manager in facilitating Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) workshops for the outsourced units based out of the Parent Bank, to identify residual operational risks and arrive at Key risks in their processes;
- Facilitate periodic walkthroughs to review the robustness and effectiveness of all key controls identified during their RCSA workshops;
- Assist and facilitate in developing of Key Risk Indicators (KRI) for all key risks in the business. Consolidation, analysing and preparation of KRI dashboard/report as per ORMG Plan;
- Participating (only in case of outsourced units), facilitating and reporting of results of internal control testing carried out by the groups from time to time;
- Monitor process controls and efficiency across the various outsourced units of the Parent and support them in understanding and accepting corrective actions, where necessary;
- Track resolution/mitigation of risks and report to the relevant stakeholders as necessary;
- Participate in development and implementation of various policies/procedures/frameworks pertaining to operational risks within the Bank;
- Participate and coordinate with various groups in development, implementation and maintenance of operational risk management processes/tools within their respective areas;
- Assist the team in progressive implementation of various modules of an operational risk management system.
Operational risk measurement:
- Assist in consolidation, mapping, analysing and preparation of report pertaining to the empirical internal loss data as reported by all business groups on a regular basis.
Operational risk reporting:
- Support and assist in preparation of various quality reports pertaining to operational risk as per the annual ORMG Plan and as provided by the Supervisor.
Outsourcing:
- Assist in review and enhancements to outsourcing policy. Coordinate and assist in compliance and oversight on Business/Operations complying with pre-empanelment and post empanelment requirements pertaining to outsourced arrangement
- Document and maintain a schedule of all outsourcing arrangements entered into by the Bank and assist in preparation of the status report as per the ORMG Plan
New Product and Process Approval (PAC):
- Coordinate with business groups with respect to review of their respective process/product notes and organise SubPAC meetings on periodic basis;
- Assist the team in review of PAC notes pertaining to new products/processes with a view to ascertain all risk issues are identified and mitigated/ controlled;
- Maintain a list of PAC notes and assist in preparation of status report on a regular basis.
Business Continuity:
- Assist in review and enhancements to Corporate BCP and also assist in review of the BCPs of various entities of the Bank.
- Coordinate, participate and provide support to the outsourced groups in testing of their respective group specific plans;
Others:
- Timely and accurate completion of all the activities assigned;
- Providing support to the team in managing of day to day operations ;
- Collating and drafting the minutes of various meetings organised by the ORMG;
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employees and provide appropriate advice on operational risk matters; refer issues to Senior Manager as required;
- Maintain a list of policies for the Bank and assist in preparation of status reports on a regular basis;
- Undertake projects and assignment as provided by the Supervisor;
- Raising awareness, building understanding and educating employees on operational risk on a continuous basis.
