We have been retained by our client, one the leading Logistics MNC as they are looking for Manager-Operational Excellence for Gurgaon Location.
Person:
- The incumbent will be a Management graduate with 8 years experience, in the operations excellence /process improvement space. The role requires a deep understanding SCM and expertise on advising on aspects like – supply chain network modelling & analysis, warehouse optimization, logistics/distribution, demand planning, strategic sourcing, and lean manufacturing.
- He/She should have high analytical skills, leadership quality, willingness to accept change and track record of success. He/she should have exposure to lean/six sigma practices in an FMCG organization.
Reporting: To the Head – Process Improvement & Innovation, who reports to the MD.
Responsibilities:
1) To use various organizational diagnostic tools to identify areas where repeated lapses/delays happen/are reported, evaluate whether a change in system will improve the situation
2) To conduct and provide various supply chain, logistics, transportation and operational analytical support including, cost/benefit analysis, operational impact studies, distribution network analysis, strategic procurements etc
3) Understanding the future basis of competition and customer requirements, to identify opportunities to re-invent business processes to manage risk, increase revenues and control costs
4) To propose the changes in the systems & processes those are deficient due to frequent breakdowns, and thus improve performance.
5) To update project status on a periodic basis
6) To ensure leadership engagement through oversight committee meetings
7) To ensure end-to-end supply chain performance transparency through alignment of supply chain performance targets and identification of improvement opportunities
8) To benchmark from time to time Company position on various efficiency parameters vis -a - vis other competing and highlight areas requiring change
9) To collect periodic competitive information so that it is useful for making business decisions.
Skill sets:
1. The incumbent should have exposure to various analytical tools & techniques
2. Experience with Business Process Reengineering (BPR); Gap Analysis; Process Design/Redesign
3. Strong business analysis skills, understanding and usage of statistical algorithms, demand sensing concepts, inventory optimization concepts on overall supply chain required
4. Current or prior experience working in Management consulting organization or Supply Chain Center or Excellence settings preferred
5. Should possess strong communication skills and be well conversant with MS office
Total Experience: 8-15 Years
CTC Offered: Upto 18 L PA
