Operating Manager - Business Controller - BFSI/KPO/Telecom

This position requires an experienced finance professional with a strong knowledge of finance/ERP/BI applications and demonstrated project management skills. The successful candidate will have demonstrated capability in thinking strategically and tactically; leading team of senior analysts; delivering results; taking appropriate risks; and in working in a collaborative decision making model with stakeholders across different functions, regions and time zones.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead a team of business analysts in delivery of accounting and business compliance processes, financial reporting and analysis and timely & accurate completion of month end close activities.

- Work on global/regional projects which would involve working across finance leadership and coordinating with multiple business partners.

- Should have strong leadership and communication skills to manage a team of experienced employees.

- Should have exposure to US GAAP, SOX and other applicable provisions relevant to Accounting and SOX processes.

- Should be able to work under minimal supervision, perform complex finance or accounting assignments.

- Provide support to the team during statutory and Internal Audit of processes.

- Must have the ability to effectively represent GIS organization in cross functional forums. Drives continuous process improvements, and streamlines processes to increase productivity.

Qualifications:

- MBA Finance/CA

- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with proven skills in leading/managing the execution of processes and projects.

- ERP (Oracle), HFM, Microstrategy knowledge is preferred along with proficiency in MS Applications such as Word, Excel, and Power Point.
