Key Responsibilities:
- To perform business analysis to identify key pain points in the month-end close process, define solutions for process and / or system enhancements, prepare test cases and support testing
- Engaging with with PC SMEs who may be at the VP / DIR level and therefore ensure stakeholder management and project execution governance.
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Provide input into Business Requirements Document (BRD) for all releases by working closely with product controller/ valuation controllers to understand and document their requirements.
- Incorporate Innovative Technology into solutions, such as Qlik Sense, Oracle BPM (Workflow), Reporting & Analytics, Machine Learning, Natural Language and Robotics, where applicable.
- Partner with IT to complete the Epic, User Stories including defect resolution
- Raise issues or risks in a timely manner and track internal and external dependencies while escalating items at risk when necessary
- Candidate will contribute to producing all necessary project artifacts including Project Charters, Project Initiation Documents, and Design Authority compliance
- Develop/Review test cases/scripts align to functional requirement.
- Perform functional testing and analyze defects in collaboration with IT teams and assist with end user testing
- Recommend, develop and implement process improvements and controls
- Candidate will join & contribute to any necessary stakeholder working groups, operating committees and sponsor update meetings
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Candidate needs to have 3-9 years of Product Control/Valuations/Transformational Change & IT experience in an Investment Bank setting, Consulting Services industry, Financial Services industry
- Undergraduate degree in Technology, Business or Commerce
- You have very strong analytical skills and a good understanding of Product Control processes, in particular in IPV process including RBPT and full revaluation techniques.
- Have working knowledge of Investment Banking products, Trade lifecycle, Trading P&L processes
- Candidate possess a good understanding of the Project Lifecycle, and are a Business Analyst.
- Strong communication (written, verbal, presentation ) skills
- Good to have Scrum/Agile/DevOPS Certification
- Working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office tools, such as Excel, and good to have an understanding of programming languages (e.g. R / Python) and visualization tools (Tableau/Qlik).
