About the job:

Job Overview:


- We are seeking an accomplished and passionate Sales manager to lead our Rooftop Solar division, focusing on systems of 20kW and above.

- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the solar energy landscape, with proven expertise in sales, channel management, and strategic customer acquisition.

- This role is pivotal in accelerating growth through both direct and indirect channels, with a strong focus on expanding customer reach, fostering partnerships, and developing alternative sales avenues.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Sales Strategy and Execution:

- Develop and implement a robust sales strategy targeting rooftop solar customers with 20kW+ requirements, ensuring aggressive market penetration and revenue growth.

- Across segments of Inverter/ VFD/ Storage.

- Drive end-to-end sales activities, from lead generation and proposal development to contract closure, ensuring high conversion rates and client satisfaction.

Business Development and Customer Acquisition:

- Lead customer acquisition efforts to secure new accounts, focusing on both large-scale commercial clients and residential prospects.

- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers, ensuring exceptional service and post-installation support that drives customer loyalty and referrals.

- Working with product team to ideate new products.

Indirect Channel Development:

- Identify, onboard, and manage channel partners, including distributors, EPC vendors, and consultants, to expand reach and enhance sales effectiveness.

- Train, motivate, and support channel partners to achieve sales targets, ensuring alignment with brand standards and customer service expectations.

Team Leadership and Development:

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales and operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.

- Ensure that the team is well-equipped with sales tools, industry insights, and training to meet and exceed sales targets.

Key Deliverables:

- Sales and Revenue Growth: New acquisition; Monthly revenue enhancements.

- Channel and Partner Performance: Partner productivity; Activation & retention.

- Market expansion & reach: Geographic footprint expansion and alternate channel development.

Operational efficiency:

- Team development and motivation

- Business and financial growth

Qualifications & experience:

- Graduate preferably MBA with 10+ years of hard core sales experience.

- Experience in solar sector is a must- particularly rooftop installations.

- Demonstrated expertise in developing the market.

- Proven track record in handling Sales channels specifically focused on Direct to Customer companies with high sales value.

- Experience in developing and managing alternative sales channels or partnerships outside traditional distribution.

Other attributes:

- Should be able to manage and motivate a large team- direct & indirect.

- Job will also involve extensive travel within UP.

Rural experience:

- Good communication skills with Hindi speaking.
