OMC Power is hiring for the position of Area Sales Manager

Location:- Rai Bareily / Janigaon / Sitapur / Lakhimpur

Reports to: Head, Business Operations

About OMC:

OMC is the largest private mini-grid renewable power provider with a mission to "Build, own and operate power plants and smart mini-grids to serve telecom companies, businesses and communities in rural areas". OMC's current operations are in Uttar Pradesh connecting Telecom towers; Communities; Shops and establishments. With our years of experience on producing and distribution of power we are focusing on scaling up operations to more villages that will improve the lives of residents. We believe in employee empowerment that has helped employees to grow their careers in OMC and have had a very low churn rate.

Job Description

OMC Sales is about being closest to the customer and understanding the need of Power in a consumer's life and accordingly providing solution. Identifying opportunities to building long lasting relationship with them. By connecting people to a basic need like electricity the brand is improving lives of thousands of customers. We're looking for experienced and versatile Area Sales managers who is agile, hungry and has the passion to contribute towards the company's growth. The ideal candidate should have had experience on working in rural India (ideally Uttar Pradesh) in consumer products, direct to consumer products, managing sales teams and planning sales activities. He/ She will be working with the Territory sales in-charges and building their capability as a salesman. Objectives of this Role

- Sales planning of the allocated areas

- Planning; Execution and Assessment of daily activities for customer acquisition

- Develop sales activities with proper planning and monitoring mechanism towards converting customers

- Retention & collection of money from existing OMC customers as per Customer life cycle.

- Lead the execution of Monthly Sales programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration

- Designing plant wise and manpower wise sales targets including upselling and delivering

- Setting up indirect channel and lead co-branded sales activities

- Partnering with brands; village spokespersons etc at local level to win customers.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

- Working in partnership with ABH; CBH & Lucknow team to drive sales targets & objectives.

- Plan a monthly Sales calendar and working towards daily effectiveness.

- Establishing Customer acquisition activities and costs towards same

- Identify & Appoint Indirect sales channels and Partner brands. Monitor and work closely with them

- Train and upscale sales incharges

- Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about Sales programs, strategies, and budgets

Skills, experience and Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree with diploma in marketing, business, or related field

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- 6-10 yrs experience of working in sales in rural India in consumer facing categories like telecom; Insurance etc

- Proven experience & expertise in sales activities; sales planning

- Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity

Additional requirements:

- MBA will be an added advantage

- Local resident of Uttar Pradesh
