Job Summary:

This position is responsible to manage all activities of the Centre of Excellence for Category Management & Strategies (CCMS) at OGBS. In this role, he/she will also be responsible for driving continuous improvement & transformation across Category Management, building capabilities & support implementation of organization's objectives & strategies. The role would involve interactions with the External Vendors & Internal Stakeholders of Olam International and OGBS. Focus areas would be:

- Strategic Sourcing - 7 Steps Strategic Sourcing process

- Market Intelligence & Advisory - Market research, Data Mining, Analytics

- Category Management - Category Procurement Strategies, Cost Modelling

- Procurement & Data Analytics - Forecasting, Time Series, Correlation & Regression etc.

- Working Knowledge of End-to-End Sourcing, Procurement Operations, Vendor Management, Shipping & Logistics & Supply Management. Conversant with procurement Process in MM Module in SAP

Job Description:

Provide Category Management via CCMS

- Be fully conversant with the 7 Steps of Strategic Sourcing & Category Management Concepts

- Able to independently perform in depth Market Research & gather Market Intelligence from secondary research & sources. Competent in Data Mining; Online/Internet Research

- Should be proficient in Fundamental Analysis, Value Chain Analysis, Supply & Demand Analysis

- Build Cost Models using Should Cost Analysis & Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) Methodologies

- Be able to build Price Forecasting Models; Time Series Analysis, Correlation & Regression Analysis, & such other advanced Procurement Analytics. Be able to bring in latest Analytics methodologies to CCMS

- Knowledge on Market Tracking Mechanisms, Price Benchmarking, Marked to Market etc.

- Develop Standardized Sourcing Strategy Development Framework & Templates, Governance and Repository. Train Procurement Teams on Strategy Framework/ Templates

- Develop focused Category Decks & Category Strategies for assigned Category/Commodity; 5-6/Year

- Publish Commodity Trackers, Chief Economic Indicators etc. for select commodities & categories

- Dissemination of Market Information on a periodic basis across Products/Prices/Supply -Demand/Forecasts/Market updates etc.

- Publish Monthly/Quarterly periodicals -News Letters/ Snippets, Commodity Trackers etc.

- Assist in Annual Budgeting Exercises and AOP's. Support Risk Management Initiatives- BCP's

- Assist in Adhoc Research, Analytics or Projects as required

Support Sourcing & Vendor Management Activities:

- Supports Vendor Life Cycle Management (VLC) & Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)

- Support RFx Process: Own and lead the supplier interface for all RFI, RFP and RFQ services.

- Support both Domestic & Global Sourcing activities; Knowledge of e-tendering via Ariba & other tools

Support Process Transition:

- Knowledge Transfer- Train, induct and work closely with the OGBS incumbents at various levels to deliver the targets. Be able to transition processes from Origin to OGBS & integrate seamlessly.

Profile Description:

Work Experience:

- 8-10 years of relevant experience in Procurement & Strategic Sourcing, Category Management & Analytics, in Food & Agribusiness, FMCG and similar related Industries preferably

- A minimum of 2-4 of relevant experience; managing small to mid-sized Teams

- Good exposure to Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Operations, Vendor Management. Working

knowledge on Supply Management & Supply Chains

- Heightened exposure to 7 Steps Strategic Sourcing, Category Management & Procurement Analytics.

- Deep knowledge of SAP (MM Module)

Expertise Requirements:

- Strong analytical background, attention to detail along with structured organization & planning skills. Demonstrate high analytical & problem-solving skills, strategic thinking.

- Ability to work under pressure & to manage/deliver to deadlines; Ability to organize & prioritize workloads. Eager to learn, highly driven & very motivated with a can-do attitude.

- Should be a go-getter with self-initiative & a process-driven professional with outcome/KPI focus. Motivated & driven to succeed in a fast-moving environment. Demonstrates collaborative skills.

- Proficiency with MS Office; especially MS XL & complex data analysis; & Power Point

- Experience handling multiple stakeholders; The ability to adapt & network across a global organization

- Strong communication skills (both written & verbal), and Interpersonal skills.

- Flexible with job duties and scope of work. Flexibility & agility in delivery is an asset

Education:

- Graduation/Post Graduation in Any Discipline. Desirable to have specialization is Supply Chain Management/ General Business Studies/ Engineering/Food & Agribusiness & relevant Areas.

- Candidates from Tier-I/ Premier Undergraduate (Engineering)/PG-Management Institutes desirable
